If your site has an announcement module box at the top of the page, and you need to edit the announcement: 1. Login to back end of site as administrator or super administrator 2. Choose extensions / module manager 3. A list of modules will appear, the list may be long and span several pages. At the bottom of the page, you can choose to go forward a page or go back. Find the module called 'Announcement.' 4. Click on 'Announcement' 5. You will now see a page that will allow you to edit the module. Do not change the details section, parameters section, or menu assignment. Scroll down to the 'Custom Output' Box. There you should see the text of the current announcement. Edit the text, scroll back to the top of the screen, and click save. (To cancel your changes, you can click on cancel instead. All changes will be lost. 6. Check the front of your website to confirm that the announcement text has been updated. Find the module called 'Announcement.' 4. Click on 'Announcement' 5. You will now see a page that will allow you to edit the module. Do not change the details section, parameters section, or custom output box. In the menu assignment area, you can choose to have the module appear on all pages, on no pages, or on the pages you select from the list below. If you choose 'Select Menu Item(s) from the List' you can then choose which pages the module should display on. To select multiple pages, hold down the ctrl button on your keyboard while you click on the appropriate pages. When you are finished, scroll back to the top of the screen, and click save. (To cancel your changes, you can click on cancel instead. All changes will be lost.) 6. Check the different pages of your website from the front end to confirm that the announcement module is showing on the correct pages. |
