We just launched the new site a couple of weeks ago, but I ‘ve gotten many compliments on it. Even our Vice President of Technology started using the site to register for events!

Aimee Powalisz, Administrative Director of Beth Israel Center, Madison, WI

I am the president of Congregation Beth El in Norwalk. I would like to add my words of thanks to Bob Moskovitz’s. Our new website is absolutely amazing! You guys and Bob have done an extraordinary job! Bob has said such glowing things about you and Shofar Sites throughout this process. I think that if one makes it through to the end of any project still feeling so positive and complimentary about one’s work partner, then that is a very special relationship. Thank you so much for everything. I really could not be more thrilled or more grateful.

Susan Singer, President of Congregation Beth El, Norwalk, CT

I have been delighted with the new website that ShofarSites is helping us to develop. It allows us to inform our congregation of changes and additions to synagogue offerings in a matter of moments.

It has allowed me to share my rabbi’s blog and other teachings with the community. The website now contains pictures from our recent rip to Israel and has allowed me to share my music with the entire community. Our auction site is now available for viewing weeks before the auction which will insure a better fundraising effort so needed by our synagogue.

I am excited that we are now able to link to top learning sites throughout the Jewish world. It has also made candle lighting times, Torah portions and leyning available on our website. This website is helping us move from the 20th century firmly into the 2lst.

Rabbi Efraim Eisen, Temple Israel of Greenfield

The key to the web site catching on has been the Joomla-based site lowering the technical barrier to folks (chiefly our Rabbi) keeping the information up-to-date.  Since the Rabbi has been keeping the events he is involved in up-to-date for almost a year, people are learning that they can check the site to verify a time.  And now people who have long drives in (1-2 hours) are checking the site before they go, if they can, since they know the rabbi will post “Shabbat service cancelled today due to ice storm.”  This kind of immediate ability to broadcast important information from several different people is a benefit of the CMS-based site.

Congregation Adath Israel  interviewed Rabbinical students shortly after launching their new site.
The Congregation’s President reported back on their recruiting efforts:

“We met 13 people, and several of them mentioned our website. Each one of them had high praise for the website, and one even said it was the best he’d seen for a synagogue of our size.  Kudos to you for making the website a  successful part of our rabbinic recruiting efforts.”
